Mechanical Turk art projects
People are just better at some things than a computer. A person can instantly tell you if there is more than one person in a photo, but it takes a computer a huge amount of time and programming to perform the same task. That’s where Mechanical Turk comes is. People post jobs they need completed and pay pennies. Leave it to the artists to find creative uses like a composite drawing of a $100 bill drawn by 10,000 people or 10,000 sheep (or sheep-like animals) drawn by random internet users. Corey participated in the $100 bill one (though we didn’t know what it was at the time.

My old roommates and I lost a ton of time to this game a few years back and I recently rediscovered it. An addictive cross between Simon and Bust-A-Move. Listen to the sequence, then click the appropriate Sveers. Download to sample all the goodies… or just play free online like I do.
